Traxxas 5805 Slash 1/10 2WD SC Truck RTR Description
The new Traxxas Slash Short-Course Race Truck puts you in the drivers seat for intense fender-to-fender, high-flying off-road action. The full-scale Short-Course Race Trucks embody the spirit of Traxxas R/C with their extreme 900+ horsepower racing engines full-throttle, dirt-roosting power slides, giant suspension travel, and Supercross-style big-air jumps. The Traxxas Slash brings all the action home so you can experience the high-speed head-to-head competition at the track or in your own backyard. The Slash was inspired by the TORC (The Traxxas Off-Road Championship) Pro 2WD class. The Pro 2WD class specifies rear-wheel drive trucks purpose built to fly over jumps and rip full-throttle through the turns. The Traxxas Slash hangs it out for an all new way to challenge your driving skills. The 4-wheel independent suspension has been carefully tuned to replicate the Pro 2 driving and handling experience as closely as possible. The scale appearing tires provide just the right amount of bite and thick, blinding clouds of dirt roost. For extreme 800+ horsepower racing capabilities that will crush the competition, the Traxxas Slash truck delivers. This truck can perform big-air jumps and high-speed racing with the power you expect from any Traxxas product. The Traxxas Slash RC truck will claim victory again and again on any racetrack, even difficult, off-road terrain. This truck will impress off-road and on asphalt or concrete, delivering awesome racing speeds wherever you race. This Ready-To-Race model is the second equipped with the Traxxas watertight electronics for a truly authentic off-road experience. Concerned about waterlogging your high-tech truck in mud, slush, water and other damaging elements? The Traxxas Slash will perform and endure under extreme weather conditions with protected electronic components. Don?t waste time with assembly. This truck is ready-to-race straight from the box, fully-equipped for immediate fun. The Traxxas Slash?s tires have advanced, specialized tread design for great handling while off-roading and in inclement weather.
Traxxas 5805 Slash 1/10 2WD SC Truck RTR Reviews
If you want to get into Radio Controlled (RC) racing or high performance playing, the Slash is the most economical and rewarding route you can pick. Its very tough, great for playing around the yard (bashing) and is plenty quick. It may be too fast for those under 8 years old, but it has a handy "training mode" that slows it down for those younger drivers. Older drivers will appreciate its ability to handle jumps, puddles and a variety of terrain. Because there are many places to race these trucks, replacement parts and upgrades are plentiful. Most off-road RC tracks have a class for racing these right out of the box. There are even a number of very experienced RC racers that choose to run a "spec" Slash, just because they're fun. It would be difficult to get into any type of racing and be competitive for fewer dollars. And if you're just looking for something more capable and more durable than the toys you get at Wal-Mart, then the Slash is for you.
